Steve Turok and Laura Cope represented the BRRF at the European Cup B Class competition in Lyon, France. Their result was 38/40.
11/03/2011-13/03/2011 - Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll Classes at Move It!, London
The BRRF provided acrobatic rock 'n' roll classes for beginners at Move It!, the UK's largest dance exhibition, in London. These were extremely well attended with very positive feedback from participants.
05/03/2011 - BRRF Performance at IVDC, Blackpool
The BRRF provided a demonstration to dancers at the Inter Varsity Dance Competition (IVDC) in Blackpool. IVDC is a student dance competition focussing on Ballroom and Latin dance styles. The demonstration successfully provided awareness of the acrobatic rock 'n' roll dance style.
25/01/2011-29/01/2011 - Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll Performances in Dance Show 'Inspired', Cambridge
This year, the annual dance show at the ADC theatre in Cambridge organised by the Cambridge University Contemporary Dance Workshop saw two acrobatic rock 'n' roll performances incorporated into its diverse programme. Steve Turok and Laura Cope represented the BRRF with their piece, and eight members of the Cambridge University Rock 'n' Roll Team provided a group demonstration. Both performances elicited great reviews.

Steve Turok and Laura Cope represented the BRRF at the European Cup B Class competition in Detva, Slovakia. Their result was 19/20.
04/12/2010 - Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll Performance at The Dance Show, NEC Birmingham
The BRRF, in association with the English Amateur Dance Association (EADA), provided a demonstration of dance styles, including acrobatic rock 'n' roll, at The Dance Show in Birmingham.
04/10/2010 - New British Rock 'n' Roll DanceSport Federation website launched
A new BRRF website has been launched, thanks to the efforts of Steve Turok. The BRRF hopes to use this website to distribute news and information about Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll in the UK, and to provide information about future BRRF events, such as workshops, competitions, meetings etc. If you would like any more information about the federation, please contact us.
02/10/2010 - European Cup B Class, Butgenbach, Belgium
Steve Turok and Laura Cope represented the BRRF at the European Cup B Class competition in Butgenbach, Belgium. They qualified for the quarter final and their final result was 22/32.
12/06/2010 - 25th Anniversary of the World Rock 'n' Roll Confederation, Winterthur, Switzerland
The BRRF President, Laura Cope, was invited to attend the WRRC 25th Anniversary Jubilee Party in Winterthur, Switzerland. She attended, representing the BRRF, together with guest Steve Turok. Among those present were the WRRC executive committee members, presidents from most federations across Europe, many ex-World Champions and competitors from the World Masters competition held the on same day. It was a fantastic event bringing together a lot of talent from the continent.

Steve Turok and Laura Cope represented the BRRF at the European Cup B Class competition in Sveti Martin na Muri, Croatia. Their result was 27/28.
March 2010 - New Temporary BRRF President
The BRRF President, Steve Romans, has resigned. The executive committee members voted a new temporary President, Laura Cope, to take up the post until the next AGM. Laura Cope will stand as the President until the next AGM. Also, Katie Walland has stepped down from the position of Events Officer which she held jointly with Jean LeClerc. Jean LeClerc will continue in his role.

Steve Turok and Laura Cope represented the BRRF at the European Cup B Class competition in Bratislava, Slovakia. Their result was 29/31.
28/11/2009-29/11/2009 - Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll Workshop led by Jan Haupt and Tea Turk
An Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll workshop was held in Cambridge, led by Main Class dancers Jan Haupt and Tea Turk from Prague, Czech Republic. 4 sessions over the weekend covered a vast amount of skills in both footwork and C/B Class acrobatics. 17 people attended ranging from beginners to B Class dancers.
31/10/2009 - European Cup B Class, St. Petersburg, Russia
Steve Turok and Laura Cope represented the BRRF at the European Cup B Class competition in St. Petersburg, Russia. Their result was 21/22.
17/10/2009 - Letensky Cup, Prague, Czech Republic
The BRRF was represented for the first time internationally at the Letensky Cup competition in Prague, Czech Republic. Steve Turok and Laura Cope (B Class) entered the international open competition. Their result was 15/15.
20/06/2009 - Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll Workshop in Cambridge led by Giorgi Belov
An Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll workshop was held in Cambridge, led by former Bulgarian National Champion Giorgi Belov (B Class). The 4-hour workshop covered both footwork and B/C Class acrobatics. 12 people attended ranging from beginners to B Class dancers.
28/02/2009 - Bristish Rock 'n' Roll DanceSport Federation stall at IVDC
The BRRF advertised itself with a stall at the Inter Varsity DanceSport Competition (IVDC) in Blackpool. Ian Sudbury did an excellent job looking after the stall for the day and talking to interested student dancers.
04/10/2008 - First British Rock 'n' Roll DanceSport Federation AGM
The BRRF held its first AGM. 18 people from Cambridge and London attended. A new committee was formed. A copy of the agenda and minutes can be found here.
